Health Carousel Announces Acquisition of Onyx M.D.

Health Carousel, a premier provider of healthcare workforce solutions, today announced the acquisition of Onyx M.D., one of the leading locum tenens (temporary) physician and advance practice staffing companies in the nation. Onyx M.D. has corporate offices in Denver, CO and Dallas, TX.Onyx M.D. was founded in 2005 by Dr. Bobby Moghim and Jim Chandler, CFA. Jim will continue to lead Onyx M.D. after the acquisition. Dr. Moghim, a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, will focus on Colorado Pain Care, a Denver-area pain management practice that he also co-founded and currently serves as CEO.Onyx M.D. will continue to operate under its own brand after the transaction. Onyx M.D. will also work with NEXTLocums, another Health Carousel locum tenens brand, to better serve both candidates and customers.  NEXTLocums is led by Stacey Stanley, who is also the current President of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO).
