Health Carousel Sponsors DAISY Nurse Leader Awards in Partnership with St. Jude

September 9, 2024

Health Carousel is proud to announce its sponsorship of the DAISY Nurse Leader Awards, in partnership with St. Jude. This collaboration aligns with Health Carousel's commitment to supporting the sustainability of global nursing by recognizing those healthcare professionals who improve lives and make healthcare work better.

Earlier this year, the Health Carousel Foundation announced a grant to maintain and expand the DAISY International Advocate Program. Currently operating in Cameroon, Ghana, Liberia, Uganda, and the Philippines, the program has honored more than 50 nurses and aims to expand to Nigeria and Cambodia in 2024.

Andrew Lingo, Executive Director of the Health Carousel Foundation, stated, "We have seen firsthand the power of meaningful recognition for nurses. Through this program's ongoing support, we aim to bring DAISY across the globe to areas that lack funding to conduct these meaningful recognition programs. We are proud of what we have accomplished collaboratively with the DAISY Foundation."

The DAISY Nurse Leader Awards recognize nurse leaders who create environments of trust, compassion, mutual respect, professional development, and ethical behavior. They are honored for their accessibility, problem-solving abilities, advocacy, and compassionate leadership. Honorees receive a special DAISY Nurse Leader certificate, a recognition pin, and a unique Healer’s Touch sculpture. Their stories of compassionate leadership are registered with The DAISY Foundation and shared on the DAISY website.

We are delighted to present the DAISY Nurse Leader Awards to the graduates of the St. Jude International EBP Nursing Fellowship, celebrating their dedication to advancing pediatric oncology nursing and improving patient care worldwide.

Congratulations to our winners! You can read more about each of their projects below.
