COVID-19 Pandemic: A Message from our CEO

Earl Dalton, Chief Nursing Officer, was appointed to The Joint Commission’s Healthcare Staffing Advisory Council. This council was created to assist in driving The Joint Commission mission of evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality
and value through The Joint Commission’s health care staffing program.

Dalton brings over 20 years of acute hospital experience and 4 years in the healthcare staffing industry with Health Carousel.

“In the face of the pandemic there is no greater time for the Joint Commission to turn to industry experts to collaborate on the correct approach to ensure our communities have the staff they need to execute on a care delivery model,” Dalton said. “My focus as Health Carousel’s CNO is enabling the healthcare facilities we serve to adequately staff to their fullest potential. Equally important is the development of the staff we provide to our partner facilities. My focus and vision for healthcare aligns well to that of the Joint Commission and I am excited about what our advisory council can accomplish.”

The council provides valuable input on health care staffing accreditation products, services, and activities of the Joint Commission Enterprise to promote patient safety and quality within the health care staffing component of all health care organizations. “I am honored to be selected to the Joint Commissions Staffing advisory Council with other top staffing experts in the industry. The Joint Commission has always stood for quality, excellence and most importantly advocation for the welfare of patients and the communities in which they live. Since 1951 the Joint Commission has taken a methodical approach to seeking excellence when it comes to patient care.”
