Donita Ross awarded Women in Leadership Scholarship

Donita Ross, Director of Nursing /Quality Improvement, was awarded The American Staffing Association’s Women in Leadership Scholarship.

Established in 2020, the Women in Leadership Scholarship program honors rising stars who show exemplary professional growth potential and a commitment to a career in the staffing and recruiting industry.

With 55 applications this year and an extremely competitive field of applicants, Donita was one of 3 recipients picked nationwide as an emerging leader in staffing.

“We are thrilled to recognize Tiffany, Donita, and Katie for their accomplishments in their staffing career thus far and for their high career potential moving forward,” said  ASA Women in Leadership Scholarship Task Force Chair and Arevo Group Associate Vice President Maggie Williams. “With over 50 applications this year, their applications stood out as exceptional emerging leaders in our industry, and we are excited that their career growth will be accelerated by attending Staffing World 2021 and the Women in Leadership THRIVE: Live preconvention program in September.”

In addition to this honor, Donita recently earned the CGFNS Global Nurse Consultant Certification. The International Council of Nurses (ICN) and CGFNS International, Inc partnered to offer this new certification which recognizes the qualifications of nurses who serve as trusted and recognized clinical expert consultants to ICN, national nursing organizations, governments and NGOs.

Donita Ross is Health Carousel’s Director of Nursing / Quality Improvement with 30+ years of acute care experience. She is a former manager of periop, medical surgical and oncology services at Tri-Health. Donita has led major talking points at international healthcare conferences discussing such items as the nursing shortage and International workforce solutions.
